Jeff Cogen Files for Multnomah County Chair

Multnomah County Commissioner Jeff Cogen filed this morning to run for the office of Multnomah County Chair.

Jeff was elected to the Multnomah County Commission in November of 2006 for a four-year term. Since taking office, Jeff has racked up a list of successful initiatives that have made Multnomah County government more functional, more accountable and more focused on the priorities most important to our community. He is particularly proud of his work focused around our region’s sustainable economy and services for our most vulnerable citizens, partnerships and projects such as the County CROPS Farm, saving the Creston Dental clinic for uninsured kids, the Climate Action Plan and the new One-Stop Center for Domestic Violence Victims.

“With three years under my belt as a Multnomah County Commissioner, I have the vision and experience needed to deliver for our region as County Chair. I’m excited for this new opportunity to keep our County on the right track.”
